Advances in Hydromechanics (AIH) is an international, open access, peer-reviewed and interdisciplinary Journal. This journal is published by the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili in collaboration with the Iranian Hydraulic Association. It appears four times a year and covers all aspects at the forefront of original research in theoretical, computational and experimental contributions to fluid flow, transport, dispersion and transformation processes in different types of water bodies. The AIH publishes full length research papers, short communications, case studies, and critical review papers reporting on major advances in hydromechanics areas.

The editors welcome original articles and reviews about the surface and subsurface water (wetlands, rivers, lakes, estuaries, oceans, ground water), and laboratory simulations of natural flows. In addition, the journal is a medium for the publication of interdisciplinary studies on the interactions between different types of water bodies and their boundaries as well as interactions between water and it's contents. Articles reporting observational, experimental, modeling and theoretical investigations are all appropriate.

Within this scope, the subject areas are diverse and may originate from a variety of scientific and engineering disciplines: civil, mechanical, chemical and environmental engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, limnology, and oceanography.

Advances in Hydromechanics (AIH) publication authorization is certified by the Iran Ministry of Culture and Guidance; No.92494; 16 January 2023.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

There is no charge to submit, process, publish and access the research articles. The cost involved in the publication of articles in AIH is provided by the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili (UMA) and Iranian Hydraulic Association (IHA).
