Aims and Scope

The primary objective of the Advances in Hydromechanics (AIH) is to focus on the basic and applied disciplines of fluid dynamics in various bodies of water and establishing new collaborations in these fields. The journal presents the latest achievements in developing physical models and computational methods, theoretical and experimental studies, software development and test technologies. It offers a platform for exchanging experiences and information, enlivening academic thoughts and promoting the further development of hydromechanics research and its applications in worldwide.

The main focus of the Journal will be:

  • Theoretical, Experimental and Computational Hydromechanics
  • New frontiers in Hydraulics
  • Physics of Turbulent Flows
  • Turbulence Modelling
  • Fluid Flow and Transport in Porous Media
  • Multiphase Flows
  • Granular Flows Modelling and Simulation
  • Coastal and Ocean Engineering
  • Wave Load and Fluid-Solid Interactions
  • Fluvial Hydromechanics
  • Ecohydraulics
  • Instrumentation in Fluid Mechanics
  • Soft Computing in Hydromechanics

The AIH journal is not limited to the above scopes. For more information, please contact jhydromechanics@uma.ac.ir or safarzadeh@uma.ac.ir
